Abandoned mine bill moves to Senate

WINDOW ROCK — Legislation introduced by U.S. Sen. Jeff Bingaman, D-N.M., to allow New Mexico to spend federal funds to cleanup abandoned uranium mines was approved Thursday by the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, which he chairs. It now moves to the Senate for consideration.
